Fake it ’till you make it

You don’t need to be a pro to look like one

You know how they say “dress for the job you want, not the one you have”, well it applies to makeup too, at least for me, but being completely honest, eye makeup is not my area of expertise.

I spend hours on YouTube trying to get a grip on how to blend, cut crease, even eye contouring, for gods sakes!!
I’ve been trying all this “cheats” and “makeup hacks”, trust me none of them work, its just extra hard steps that no one needs in their makeup routine. So when I found the Stila liquid eye shadows I couldn’t be more excited, they seemed like the solution to my eye shadow crisis problem, I thought, oh well, this looks like something I can actually work with.

Stila is an American brand, with over 20 years on the market, it is well known their makeup has been used on the runway many, many times, and they have some pretty amazing products. (Try their liquid eyeliner, it is THE BEST.)

The “Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow”, are little bottles of glitter, with a little wand applicator, they might look a bit like the stuff I used to play with as makeup when I was a kid. They weren’t even in a special place, actually they were kind of hidden, I am guessing it was because they didn’t have a lot of availability at the moment, but don’t let that fool you, this little bottles are full of magic.

The first time I used it I went all in, covering my whole eyelid with the gel-like glittery thing, and guess what? IT LOOKED AMAZING. Trust me, I have seen way too many makeup tutorials to know that applying glitter is not that easy. The best part is that it actually looks like you did something, they have a background colour, a nice shimmer and the glitter!!!!!! A complete eye makeup look in just one swipe.

Overall, this liquid eye shadows are great, the fallout is minimum, it is very easy to remove it and at $31.00 I would call it a smart makeup investment. Trust me on this one, if I was a able to create a nice look, imagine what someone with a little talent could do?
